This fortnight, two big scifi universes return for a second season – first, Doctor Who, then Star Wars prequel Andor!

But first, Alastair’s watched classic French film Breathless, while Nick’s read new Batman storyline Gotham Nocturne, from the pages of Detective Comics.

And then it’s time to take flight with Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor Who (18:07) for a second season, including spoilers all the way up to that heavily reported final twist.

And last of all, well-reviewed Star Wars series Andor (39:36) returns for its final run, taking us all the way to the start of Rogue One.

Nick and Alastair finally catch Sinners, the cinematic sensation of 2025 so far, then follow it up with the latest season of Love, Death & Robots on Netflix.

But first, Nick’s in the past yet again with Homicide: Life on the Street, while Alastair’s bang up to date with Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, the newest (and last?) instalment in the Tom Cruise stunt vehicle franchise.

After all that, time to head down the juke joint with Sinners (19:28), the widely acclaimed action-horror movie from Ryan Coogler. Including spoilers for the big mid-film reveal at 26:33 if you’re dodging that.

And then they return to Love, Death & Robots (35:19), the Netflix scifi anthology series which is increasingly veering away from scifi, including their usual countdown of their favourite episodes.
