A change to the advertised programme, as Nick and Alastair both made it to the cinema to watch burning-hot new movie Oppenheimer, as well as sneaking through latest Marvel mini-series Secret Invasion.
But first, Nick’s reading long-standing cops/capes comic Powers by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, while Alastair’s filling in the other half of the Barbenheimer meme for us with Barbie.
From which they move right onto the nuclear dawn in Oppenheimer (13:29), Christopher Nolan’s new biopic about nuclear bombcraft which looks like one of the big releases of the year.
And at the opposite end of the spectrum, they also saw Secret Invasion (28:32), the latest Marvel Disney+ event finally giving Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury some spotlight.

Lastly, Nick and Alastair read unsettling internet horror comic W0rldTr33 #1 (26:44) by James Tynion IV and Fernando Blanco and try not to reflect too much on the amount of time they’ve spent online and the fact the demon is probably already in them.
Finally, a more earthbound series of fights in Polite Society (28:18), a new British action movie which deserves your attention. Seriously, watch this, it’s really good.

Lastly, Nick and Alastair voyage into even more dangerous territory with All Against All (27:50), a new scifi miniseries from Image by Alex Paknadel, Caspar Wijngaard and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, about an alien race encountering the most dangerous species of all: yes, it’s human beings.
Nick and Alastair enter a world of imagination this fortnight, with two separate game-based movies: Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves and, yes, Tetris.
And if that was too intense, Nick and Alastair finish up by sitting down for a nice game of Tetris (28:01).
