This fortnight, Nick and Alastair cover two big adaptations – millennial nostalgia event X-Men ’97 and post-apocalyptic game-based series Fallout.

But first, they’ve been even busier than usual, as our heroes briefly review two other recent movies – Challengers and Love Lies Bleeding.

And then it’s back into the swirling time travel vortex of their childhoods with X-Men ’97 (13:36), complete with a few spoilers of varying stripes.

Last of all, neither Nick nor Alastair has ever played the games, but they’re going to review Fallout (27:28) nonetheless.

If you want to back Nick’s new comics kickstarter for The Collected Letters of Courier Z, you’ve got two more weeks.

This fortnight, an exercise in extreme contrast with thoughtful historical drama Shogun and cartoonish high school comedy Bottoms.

But first, Nick’s rewatched the whole Twelfth Doctor era of Doctor Who with Peter Capaldi, while Alastair’s watched creepy YouTube videos on The Oldest View.

And then they visit feudal Japan with acclaimed historical drama Shogun (24:39), to see which controversial modern politician the lead character reminds Nick of.

Last of all, it’s Bottoms (40:18), the popular anarchic Gen Z comedy that really gives our heroes a chance to consider their mortality and relevance.

And finally finally, Nick has another Kickstarter running for his latest comic The Collected Letters of Courier Z! It’s a series of short stories about a scifi postwoman turning to crime, shades of 2000AD, Red Dwarf and Doctor Who. If that sounds fun to you, check it out here!
